Kate understands doing what you love is important to you and wants to get you back to doing all those things.
She is an Accredited Hand Therapist and upper limb Physiotherapist and director of Camberwell Hand Rehab. She has been a Full Member of the Australian Hand Therapy Association for over 15 years.
A graduate of Melbourne University (B Phys Hons), Kate has worked in private practice for over 20 years.
Kate is proactive in staying up to date on hand therapy education and consistently attends SIG meetings as well as National Hand Therapy conferences. In 2019, Kate was involved in the presentation and assessment for course development for the AHTA wrist course. Kate currently serves on the AHTA Advocacy Working Group.
In 2023 Kate presented a masterclass to the University of Melbourne Physiotherapy Masters Students on pregnancy related MSK issues in women and attended the AHTA Elbow course. In 2025 Kate completed her microcreditial in Hand and Upperlimb Imaging through the University of Syndey . Designed specifically for health professionals, this course represents 50 hours of continuing professional development, covering the areas of X-ray, CT, MRI and Ultrasound of the upper limb.
Her experience includes working at St Vincent’s Public Hospital in the Hand Therapy Unit. Kate works closely with surgeons, GP's sports physicians and allied health practitioners with trauma and post-operative cases. This gives her great insight into best practice and leading industry treatments. She currently attends a weekly upper limb orthopaedic trauma clinic in East Melbourne giving post-operative care and conservative management advise for trauma cases.
When not at work Kate loves to chase after her cheeky labradoodle Max and has a new found passion for mixed media art. In fact, you may see her artwork hanging around her rooms!
